Welcome to Iron Pixel, a bracket style head-to-head design competition.
Iron Pixel will feature two designers at a time, with both designer's screens projected so you can see them working in real time. During their battle, DJs will provide live music for the challengers to compete to. Design challenges are designed ahead of time, but provided to the designers at the start of the round. Each battle is different. Each round more complex. Who will be the last standing at the end of the challenges? Come find out.

1. What are the details? Comp/program/tablets/examples/

Each designer will bring their own hardware/software to hook into the VGA cables that run to the projectors. The challenges will be set up so that designers can choose their "weapon" of choice.

2. Software

Designers can use the software of their choice. You will be required to submit a certain file type as your final, so make sure whatever your software that it can put out most common filetypes for design i.e. png, pdf. jpeg, etc.Â

Participant Designers - We are looking for the best designers from Columbus and beyond. Think you have the skills to take down the competition, show you have the stuff by competing in Iron Pixel. We are seeking 16 qualified designers, ready to accept the challenge of going head-to-head, live-action, against other designers. Freelancer, student, agency designer, art director, we don't care. All things are equal in the ring, may the best designer win.
Iron Pixel is an effort to bring together different parts of the design community, to showcase styles and methods, and to make connections between designers who may not normally meet and interact. The event is also designed to provide the public the opportunity to see the design process first-hand in a fun environment.
